About Jul3ia

Jul3ia is an iOS developer in Seattle, Washington who started her journey in code as an animator, musician, and cartoonist. In the decade prior to working in iOS development, she had a career in television, where was most known for her two Emmy-Award winning videos, OMG LOL and Reality TV, as well as other award-winning videos.

Due to her growing curiosity for mobile development, combined with the modern wonder of the internet, she first taught herself Objective-C while living on the garden island of Kaua’i. She has been a total code addict ever since, constantly seeking to improve her craft.

Some interesting facts about Jul3ia:

• The 3 is silent, but also legal. She was named Julia, after John Lennon’s mother, but legally changed it at 18 after a long-standing joke she had started in her early teens. In the years since, she has thoroughly uncovered the meaning of being a true edge case in life. Plus sides include being the single easiest person on Earth to Google. Down sides include suffering mercilessly at the DMV.
• Though she spends most of her time in Xcode, she enjoys tinkering in Unreal when possible
• She first learned how to hook up A/V components at the age of 4, when she and her brother had mandatory shared custody of their Nintendo Entertainment System
• She still loves to play NES
• She’s a proud Cape Cod native
• She enjoys pizza. A lot.
